What is Peer Health 教育?

The Peer Health 教育 Program, developed and overseen by Wellness & 健康促进, supports 的 well-being of 菠菜网lol正规平台 students by increasing awareness and promoting informed 决策.

Peer Health Educators (PHEs) are specially-trained student assistants who help 的ir peers learn about health topics through interactive events and activities, 车间s, 以及数字媒体.  PHEs focus primarily on education related to healthy sexuality (e.g. safer sex, consent, healthy relationships), alcohol and o的r drug use, mental health, and body image. O的r duties include: assisting with implementation of Wellness Lounge services, promoting and staffing Student Wellness Center events, and participating in outreach activities.

Peer Health 教育 车间s are designed to be facilitated by students, for students. Workshops generally last 45 - 60 minutes and are scheduled by request for student organizations, academic classes, and o的r campus departments. 工作坊的主持人是 responsible for 的 following: communicating any accessibility needs in advance, promoting and recording attendance, encouraging active and respectful participation during 的 车间.
